Our benefits (public university) are decent. Not the greatest but they have a few things that are okay...for example: When I get into my masters program, they will pay up to 8 hours of course work for me which at my chosen institution, equates to $5200 up to 3 times per year.
Also, I have never had a problem getting approved to attend conferences, professional training/development courses, or acquiring the tools that I need to do my job. My last job it was very annoying to have to always try to make things work with improper equipment and software. Here they seem to understand that you get a better product developed when the right tools are at hand. Plus we have access to Federal Title III money that flows like the Savannah river

When I was in insurance, my boss started a new thing. Since things slow down in teh afternoon on Fridays and many of our clients were out west (time variance), he allowed some of us to stay on M-Th til 6 and we got to leave at 3 on Friday.

I do early Fridays with my guys too just cause the last hour of Friday is wasted anyways. 4 o'clock Fridays!
Yeah, thats a major complaint I have about this line of work, it is never offered. We had been talking about it recently though so who knows what the future may bring.

They used to stock a bunch of snack food too, but don't so much anymore
Relatively responsive to requests for upgrades (new computers and software)

They gave me an interest free loan to buy my truck when the only offer of financing I could get was 18%

The best pay I could resonably expect to make anywhere in this line of work

They match .50 on the dollar up to 4% of what you make annually.
They also wave tuition to employees.
Also Sabbatical.
yeah, we have liquor too. Actually, since the "conference room" is my boss's dining room table (it's a loft joined to the office by a huge roll-up steel door) we have a full bar. I guess you could count the hot tub on the roof too, but I haven't used that for work yet. Maybe next winter I'll walk around the office in swim trunks and a robe and pop up there during breaks.I thought we were the only company to do thisMy boss has a full liquor mini bar too!
