What are you doing at work?

Today I'm putting into production my improved PC rollout system.

* Cleaner/simpler code
* Native support for Dell 755s
* Easier location detection
* Other shit that I forget
* There is no #2

:crap:

Today Im fighting with the procurement dept because they ordered the wrong items, but claim they ordered the right thing, even tho the paper work obviously says different. Plus I have meetings all morning from 8am till whenever. Plus I have another job that should have started already, but hasnt since the engineers havent given me any drawings yet, but still want the job done by friday. Oh, and I have weekly reports to do today.
The more time I spend here the more I hate this freaking place.

I did two DSL installs this morning. First one was a self-install, so I just ran a speedtest and verified the phone service worked (as the customer ordered phone service as well as DSL service). Second install I had to bypass a half-ringer (they can interfere with DSL service) inside the Verizon NID, and use some butt splices to hook the telephone pair from the street to the telephone pair to the apartment. Then hooked up the DSL modem. Ran a speedtest and left.
I had to update 32 tickets I've submitted so far with my contract DSL install job, as I didn't have the correct fields filled in properly so I won't get paid for another week or two :(
Still working on this darn wireless network quote as well. An involved project it is turning out to be.

The backup tape drive on my mail server decided to quit. Luckily I have a backup for my backup.
I'm contacting HP support right now.
I hate talking to support people. :(
