In this thread we will examine what type of Beer you like and when you drink it. Plus we will discuss if you have ever brewed your own or if you enjoy a non popular beer, what is it and why?

Currently I am only consuming Mich Ultra cause of the exercise commercials Makes me feel better about myself when I pound down 20 of them jk


As for good beers though I have always loved a little mixture that is half McEwans and half Hornsby Cider. I also enjoy my Guinness from time to time but it has to be that perfect moment to order one. One more that my dad got me hooked on is Kalik, what a great tasting brew. Sadly I have never really been turned onto Sam Adams and I feel that I am missing something special

My favorite beer is Samichlaus, brewed only one day a year on St. Nicholas day. It's strong, over 14%, and not cheap so I don't have it very often.

I don't care much for the plain Sam Adams myself, it's awfully bitter. I do like the Summer Ale, Spring Ale, Winter Ale, and Octoberfest varieties though.

I tend not to like IPA's either because of the bitterness.

I am a fan of almost all beers and yes I used to brew my own regularly. Great Lakes Dortmunder is rather good.

That stuff has a weird fruity aftertaste that I strongly dislike.

I swear they changed the recipie for that stuff, I used to think it was terrible - then last fall I went to the Coors brewery in Golden and had some Blue Moon in the tasting room and it was actually pretty good. I've had it since and it's been fine.

Their pumpkin ale tastes like pumpkin skin however

Ive gone by there twice and it was closed both times
They only do tours on weekdays now.

Funny I didnt like it when I first tried it years back and now I think its great. I hate fruity beer but you can even catch me with a orange wedge in that one.
