4GB is more than enough for what you're doing. It's more than enough for what almost anyone does on a Chromebook. I don't know anything about the MediaTek processor, so between those two - I'd probably take the Acer.

Well i say office will run on it. But I'd recommend a decent windows laptop for everyday business usage. Zac says it'll be fine to use a CB. Obviously Zac and I have different opinions on what is acceptable performance in this scenario.

Look, if the budget is tight, go with the CB. If you can easily afford to drop around $900CAD on a windows laptop, then do that.

yea so my hubby and i got into a huge argument about this and basically told me not to get involved in shit i know nothing about (i never claimed i knew anything i was just telling him what you guys were suggesting)

so it’s not about budget. it’s about dropping $900 on a computer that will have minimal use .. like that’s a waste of money to me.

but there are like $400 computers that at not CB that will do.

anyways thanks for all the help but i’m not involved in making this decision anymore.
i should stick to glitter and bath bombs

You literally just put what I said. I said you can't install office you have to use the office for google. They are not the same as even o365 versions. They are built as mobile apps and don't the full functionality as a full version of M365. It's the same as using the online version of them on your phone. So depending on what you're doing it may work and it may not work.

O365 is not the same as Office for Android. Think of that as the mobile version of Office you can download on your phone or iPad. They don't have the complete functionality of what you might be using on O365 now. It may be no issue for you at all. But depending on what you're using it for depth wise it may not work the same way for you.
