civil debate and different ideas is great. But if it results in a contested convention and fractured voter base like 2016, it fucks us all. People are a group are vindictive tribal fucks and will carry any grudges they build during the primary into the general. This will either result in the strongest of the weak candidates winning the primary, or in fracturing after the primary if one of the strong candidates win.

human beings just saying "ok, my dude didnt win, but i acknowledge the strengths of this other dude and will support them now" is not something easy for folks
this implies that all candidates have strengths or redeeming qualities.

if Pete wins, I can hold my nose and vote for him, but I 100% will not vote for Bloomberg. he's a less senile Trump 2.0, and a shit ton of libs will let him get away with the same shit they're currently hashtag resisting because he's on "their team" because we've already seen them trying to justify his past heinous actions in the name of "electability"

I'm curious to see how Sanders does in our primary. His main voting block is college kids and people under 30. Our primary is on St. Patrick's Day. Most of his voters will be out partying instead of voting.
Y'all don't vote in the daytime?

you realize you're playing right into the hands thatll get Trump re-elected when you do this stuff. They want inter-party conflict, they want you to go "us vs them". And they is everyone from the republicans to the foreign interference campaigns that want to cause chaos
There are good candidates and there are poor candidates. Criticizing a bad candidate for being a bad candidate is not inter party conflict.
Regardless, that's not what I was doing. I was wondering why a former military member looks like a bag of smashed ass when he is auditioning for POTUS in front of the world.

I didn't follow the debate much, other than Bloomberg getting called out on the whole NDA thing.

Is the 2020 election gonna be "choose your pussygrabber" or what?

you know as well as I do, once you're out, for most folks, grooming standards take a sharp left turn.

That said, independent of the former military stuff, POTUS candidates gotta look sharp. Even bernie has tamed his crazy-old-man look somewhat

Pretty stupid to try to impeach him again over another fairy tale. How much gov't time & money do you want to waste anyway?

there are more than 300 bills McConnell is currently blocking. and that's not to let others off the hook, I know the GOP benefits from having there be One Bad Guy who won't go anywhere to suck up all the blame, but it still comes down to him
