Ontopic The Shooting Thread

He was gonna provoke the left to ban all the guns, which would cause a civil war that the whites would win, or some bullshit.

All the motherfucker managed to do is kill a bunch of innocent people and hand ISIS a golden piece of video for recruiting new members.
Pretty confident he was counting on the recruitment aspect for ISIS. That furthers his agenda of lighting a fire.

Was more about whites "rising up" and "reclaiming their land". Europe for whites, Africa for blacks, Middle East for Arabs, etc.

Oddly there was no mention of Australians going back to Britain or American whites going back to Europe and leaving those lands to the original natives.

USA : white supremacism :: SA : Wahhabism

Our kissing of Saudi ass and supporting Wahhabism (and we absolutely do) goes back to removing the last vestiges of a gold standard and moving our currency to the petrodollar. That part isn't actually a race thing.

Agreed. But for that to happen guys like him figure they have to stir the shit up, to get both parties highly engaged. I have the 2nd largest Muslim community in the USA about 25 miles away(Dearborn, MI). So, a couple of hotheads from there do something here, then similar from out here in the sticks will be driving there by the truckload. And there you have it. I am slightly worried personally and for the planet at large. *I was going to drive down there yesterday to score some weed from a friend who lives there, decided I could live a week without.

Oh indeed that was the idea.
The guy was in such a radical bubble/feedback loop he actually thought he was going to be some sort of "inspiration" and people were gonna actually kick off a race war or something. :/

I think he will "inspire" some people on both sides, but hopefully only smaller, localized things.

@HipHugHer
They made this one for you. :)

Hopefully cooler heads prevail with the reprisal/copycat stuff, and probably will.
Lot of keyboard commandos out there, most of whom are too pussy/selfish/have too much to lose to actually act. They'll just mouth off and cheer and hope somebody else does.

There are enough of those though that if some tiny fraction are nuts enough to actually do it that still amounts to a sizable number of people. Thus far anyways largely disorganized, individual psychopaths but they can still wreak a lot of havoc.

re: keyboard warrior types, where do you think this dude was radicalized in the first place? it's a huge reason why I am and have been 100% over people writing off /pol/ the culture of 4/8chan as "just for the lulz." the internet can be a beautiful, brilliant thing, but it also can help bring together the fucking worst people & make them somehow worse. sure, there's people that ARE just joking, but the person who goes there and isn't can't often tell the difference. and after one of them has been radicalized ebough to act, the rest praise him, & praise people like Elliott Rogers, like Dylann Roof as heroes, which only serves to inspire the next mediocre white dude to make something of himself the only way he knows how. he's been promised that his birth as a white man should de facto make him somehow extraordinary, that the world owes him, and when the world doesn't pay up, he takes what he wants like he wishes he could have from every hot girl that rejected him (or every hot girl they never fave the chance to reject them but assumed they'd humiliate them nonetheless). there is a large overlap in racists and misogynists that spiut violent rhetoric online, the Venn diagrams aren't exactly a circle but the overlap is the greater portion, and these "online" people are actually real human beings that exist in meatspace, too.

Oh not downplaying it at all. That's where this guy got his shit from and he credits it as such.

Not saying those types are "joking" either. A lot of them are not. Just saying most of them are gonna stop at words and hope somebody else takes the action. They won't do it themselves. Same as people who promote suicide bombings would never put on the vest themselves.

Places like 8chan and white supremacist sites are what I was referring to when I mentioned the guys radical bubble/feedback loop.
A lot of his "manifesto" reads like it could've been copy/pasted from any one or many of them.

Not at all what I'm talking about: the US drives white terrorism as SA drives Islamic terrorism.

This dude name-checked US politicians and ideas.

Ah.

The guy is a walking talking contradiction.
Says he supports trump as some "symbol of white identity" but then says "dear god no" as far as supporting him as a policy maker or leader.
Cites some right wing commentators and then says conservatism is dead thank god/it's just corporatism in disguise.
Talks of whites "reclaiming their lands" but nothing of us all going back to Europe.
Cites the ideas of some Americans but then wants to balkanize us and says the country that operates most like his ideals is China.

Etc. Etc. on and on.

It's bizarre and unhinged.

Our Big Boy President will freely rage against nearly anything but can only offer the most perfunctory of condolences when shit like this happens, and refuses to acknowledge the motivating force behind these events. The only people who can't (won't) connect the dots are those afraid of acknowledging how little separation there is between their own views and the views of these terrorists.

All those US folk that talk about how Trump is following through on his promises aren't talking about policies, they're talking about how he is upholding the established hierarchies.

This guy understands it better than you.
