its a docuseries so I guess it goes here and not movies? but I started the amazon prime series on Lorena Bobbitt and I'm already fascinated because I had such a poor understanding of the situation when it happened. So I believe both these things to be true. I believe both spouses should obtain and give consent. I believe these things should happen on a regular basis. I believe that if one of the spouses won't give consent, the marriage should be declared null and void.
but you are bringing up her not giving him enough consensual sex regularly in a ways that comes across as defending him. there's no reason to bring up how often consensual sex should happen in a discussion about what was done to a victim of abuse and rape. one thing has nothing to do with the other, unless you're using the lack of consensual sex as a mitigating factor in his choice to serially abuse his wife.

Oh there's every reason to bring up her not giving consent because it's quite possible that she would never give consent which is a major problem in something called a marriage. Neither person entered the priesthood nor a nunnery when they entered that marriage and sent needs to happen at some point in time more than once and probably less than a million times.
