That's Dollar Tree cheeseballs. They melt in your mouth if you're not dehydrated and hold them there for a bit. Bonus for getting those big file clip things. They are so much better than any bullshit labeled "chip clip". Also free.

Prolly caulk it with paintable silicone. Then hit when touch ups are done.

Or not. Gives it character.

Gotta repack the break joint anyway, so maybe do it then.
