Not remotely. But instant pots are awesome, so i would vouch for the quality of that instant pot sous vide if you like the instant pot.

We love the instant pot! Its amazing .

So Williams Sonoma has it for 250$
Crate and Barrel shows it has same one on sale for 175 but they have none in stock

Like ugh!

Maybe golf stuff will have to do

@gee we have the instant pot, does it do kinda sorta the same thing ?
They're kinda opposites.

Sous vide = low/controlled temperature, long period of time. Like, you set the water bath to 135F and throw in a beef roast or thick steak or whatever, and it cooks medium rare the whole way through. Takes a while but makes very tender food.

Instant pot = high temperature/pressure, food cooks quick and makes tender results but it's (very) well done. Putting a steak in an instant pot will make you hate your life.

If you really want to show off the sous vide... Hit up a butcher and get a couple of thick (say 1.5") ribeye steaks. Dust them in montreal steak spice and a splash of Worcestershire sauce for half an hour whole you get the sous vide machine figured out.

Bag the steaks, cook 1-1.5 hours at 135F (if your bf doesn't like a medium rare steak, dump his ass), then get a grill bloody hot and sear them a couple minutes each side to finish.
