Ladybutt's dad has quit chemo.

After the latest round of radiation with the yttrium beads for his liver cancer, he went in for a follow up because he was turning yellow, docs found a tumor in each lung, and "a sizable tumor" in the sac around the heart (pericardium?)

Soooo... Yeah.
:(

Fucking cancer. I'm sorry.

Turns out my vision is all fucked up. I've decayed to 20/40 since i got my lasik a decade ago. Which is actually good, as that meets the qualifications for a "free lifetime correction".

Additionally, i have a "unusual texture" on my cornea thats hazing my vision that i have to see if i can get worked out right. At the moment, just OTC eye drops 4 times a day

We told you NOT to look at the sun during the eclipse dammit.

The Mrs. is headed in to get her eyes laser-beam pew-pew'ed today. She took a Xanax this morning, so she doesn't give half a shit about anything, but I'm nervous on her behalf.

I hear they only burn through the back of your head once out of every three times now...

good deal. I dont regret having mine done at all

She came through OK, just went upstairs to take a long nap courtesy of Ambien.

Everyones different, but expect about 3 days of "sunglasses all the time, continual tears (not pain, just recovery)" and then 2 months until you forgot you had the lasik.

You might need to help her open her eyes when she wakes up. My tear ducts kept going in overdrive when i slept, and basically pressurized my eyelids with tears. Since you cant rub, you have to gently release the eyelid and open the flood.

She's just now beginning to come around to feeling sorta normal again.
