Hawt Ribbons, Robin Sparkles, Tampons and Boots OH MY!

In a workplace yes, I don't like to be called 'lady' or have some cock waggling man walk into a meeting and say 'morning ladies'. I correct it anytime it happens. I find it demeaning and disrespectful. The kind of men who say such things are generally backwards misogynist twats in my experience and I refuse to be part of their worldview.

Whenever we had to greet a group of female officers it was always ladies, gentlemen for men. We also didn't get an option on what to say, that was considered the proper greeting of the day.

Especially when they were younger than me it felt so odd adding a "good morning, ladies" to my salute. And trying not to sound creepy while doing it.

Is this the thread to talk about makeup?
What are your thoughts on Jeffree Star?
his products are pretty good.
hes def right up there...
not sure if he's on the KAT VON D level but his products have gotten rave reviews.

i personally don't like him but i could careless if his product is actually awesome.

another great cosmetics line that is affordable is BENEFIT!
some of their shit is pretty good.

MAC is pricey but i LOVE their over all coverage and bronzers! love love love

brands like ANASTASIA Beverly Hills, Smasbox, Bobbi Brown, Urban Decay, Dior, YSL, Kevyn Aucoin, NARS, Marc Jacobs etc are super pricey and i don't recommend if you are just starting out... but such lovely products.

have you played around? what do you love? are you dramatic with your eyes? OMG I AM... i loooooooooooove LASHES... so obsessed.

Haven't played around yet, but definitely want to. Thinking some wet n' wild and ELF will be coming into the foray as well.

Since I have a beard, the only thing I can really do is my eyes. I guess I have to start playing around and see what I like.

yes!!!!

wet n' wild and elf is what i would def recommend if you're just gonna start playing around.
there are 2 major review websites you can visit as well
totalbeauty.com
makeupalley.com

you can get so much info and honest reviews there.
now as much as you want good make up, brushes are JUST as important..
beauty blenders are great to apply foundations and contouring (thats super hard... for me anyway...)
also a if you're gonna play, you will need a really good make up remover... for this i would invest in something good cuz essentially, a bad one can dry out your skin.
the wipes are really nice to get make up off, but you wanna be gentle around your eyes

I'm sooooooooo excited for you!!! eeeeeek!

I think the whole terminology when referring to a female is all about taste. Personally I hate the word woman as it sounds matronly to me. I much prefer lady. I also don't care if someone calls me a girl and don't find it demeaning unless it's in a demeaning context, which never really happens to me. I also sometimes call males "boys" and don't mean it in a demeaning way. I think unless someone is trying to be derogatory we should all just stop fucking whining about words.

Intents is what people should focus on.
