sooooooo Im officially a Pescatarian (pesco-vegetarian)!
i haven't had beef since Jan before i flew back to Canada and Chicken since mid Feb!
Im still open to converting to full vegetarian, but for now, eating fish 3x a week is best for me as I'm still trying to get back on track with my health.

so i haven't had any rice since jan and obv no potatoes or regular pasta.
i look for carbs in the veggies i eat (corn, beets, squash etc) and my specialty breads (3x a week)

i am madly in love with cauliflower and i have made the most amazing meals starring Mrs Cauliflower!!!
one of the major changes I've notices is def the NO BLOAT feeling... wow. i don't feel tired or sluggish after a meal and i still feel full with my smaller portions. this is MAJOR.
I'm losing weight at a nice slow healthy pace... but inches are coming off faster.
Im not really looking to drop a major amount of weight, I'm already small, but id like to just float at 110lbs and ill be happy there.

Im drinking lots of water and generally taking better care of myself and have started light cardio as i still don't have the OK from my doctor to do more intense workouts :(

i miss pizza (which i rarely ate but i did dabble here and there)
I miss cheese burgers a little... but i push it out of my head and I'm over it.
its not BBQ season yet but I'm a little nervous about smelling the grill going with meat.

i make 2 different meals every night for Kiko and I, so Im still cooking meats for him.

THEN
i find out the big mac now comes with bacon and i was like super sad..

asian stores. Fish swimming around in tanks, they pick em out, chop em up however you want.

Doesnt get much fresher than that.

2-8 USD per pound.

Asian? No not where I go.
It's a Newfie shop. Good ole Canadians.
Fish is flown in from the east coast for high end restaurants.

I have gone to get fish there a few times when I make meals for CEO and I.
I also eat lots of lake and river fish which is super easy to get here as I'm surrounded by lakes.
Rainbow Trout is the bomb .. although it's about 130 calories per 100 grams, it's a nice splurge (calorie wise) here and there

No matter how much you try to shit on this domon, I'm no longer eating little calves or chickens or pigs or cows and I feel pretty good about that!

it's nice that you care about the well being of the animals, i applaud you for that. It is important.

However, it's more important in my opinion, that we look into the well being of the people growing and harvesting our crops, making sure they are being properly compensating for their backbreaking labour.

I think he meant more like grocery stores that cater to Asians. We've got a couple hear and their fish department looks like a local fish aquarium. Like 20 50 gallon tanks each with giant fish in it. Like bass size fish. You want catfish? which one of all the 1foot or longer ones swimming around. Crabs loaded into tanks. It's amazing. We've got a couple of those stores here.

so i brought this up to CEO again... about me thinking about accepting this lifestyle and he was far from supportive.
his teenage daughter is full vegan and he seems to KNOW ALL THE INS AND OUTS cuz of her and he doesnt really have anything positive to say about this.

i have decided to make more vegetarian dishes per week. scale down on the meat BIG TIME.
its for me and My Kiko. if CEO dont like it. oh welllllz

CEO still eatin that clam tho, right?

werd.
i support local farmers here.
there is this program here where you can go and volunteer certain days at local farms in the summer and they "pay" you with fresh crops :)
i also try to make it to the local farmers market as much as i can.

there is this AMAZING restaurant in Kitchener that gets all their veggies from local farmers ONLY and they name the farms in their menus. so awesome
