he did everything he was supposed to do. he let the officer know that he had a gun and a license to carry it, and he let the officer know that he was going to reach for his ID. then he was shot to death in front of his daughter.

they're scared of black people. it's the connotation of them and the immediate assumption that the black man was going to reach for his gun that's the issue. the american justice system is heavily weighted against black people and if you're going to try to deny it then you're as much of the god damn problem.

however, this isn't the way. this isn't how you change things. this is just as fucking disgusting as the incidents preceding/provoking it. violence doesn't get solved with more violence.

Did you witness him saying he was carrying and was reaching for his ID? Because I'm pretty sure that's what the gf/wife whatever said he did in the video after the shooting.

At this point in my eyes, both people, the cop and Philando are innocent. The cop did nothing wrong, and philando did nothing wrong. All I know is that philando ended up with a bullet in his arm and his gf videoed the aftermath. Other than that, I know jack shit. Until I see more video or at least hear the story of the other side I can't, in all good conscience, make a snap judgment call about the life of another human being.

the only suspect I heard about them having in custody was mark hughes

it's pretty likely that other people photographed random black men, showed the police, and said "this guy did it!" which led to additional suspects

trying to turn this into some stupid inside job magic bullet conspiracy theory is dumb

Any and all truth comes from a single source, ours. Everything else is invalid. There was a single gunman. He is dead. Whatever we say happened, is what happened. Never mind any of that other stuff. Now focus on these memorials and videos of fatherless children. Do not question us.
