Ontopic Hobby Lobby - Did the Supreme Court go to far?

I would think it would take too long to make the appt, get in for the consultation, and schedule the insertion for it to be a viable method.

Also, reading through that article, I wonder how they are gathering their numbers. If it is such an unknown method, do they have enough data to ensure it is all correct?

Well, it's too much to read for me.

Based on my knowledge, IUDs are NOT emergency contraception. That's just dumb and doesn't make any sense.

its like saying cars are murder machines because every once in a while someone hits someone with them. When 99.99999% of the time, theyre intended for driving.

In my opinion Hobby Lobby and other companies with similar cases are just trying to save a buck. Religion is a convenient excuse as far as I can tell.
this is proven by the fact that their 401k plans have heavy investments into the very pharmaceutical companies that make those "abortion pills" and IUDs

so not only are they making decisions for their employees based on their religious beliefs but those religious beliefs are a crock of shit that they'll ignore for the sake of profit margins

which in their view is after conception.
which has absolutely nothing to do with religious beliefs whatsoever

nowhere in the bible does it say that abortion is wrong

in fact leviticus, the favored text among bible thumping fucktards, specifically points out that the life of the flesh is in the blood which means according to the bible a fetus is not alive until it has been infused with blood about 3 weeks into development

not only are they hypocritical but much like the cylons, I know more about their religions than they do

edit: correction, three weeks. stupid fucking pregnancy sites list the two weeks before the fuckathon as part of the pregnancy.

I love when people defend that with some tripe about "you don't understand how investments work"
I understand that they have a company managing these investments, and if they didn't want to invest in X, Y, or Z company on religious grounds they would tell the company managing the investments that they didn't want to invest there.

did you even read that long post. It addressed this pretty well.

Your position is as valid as saying HL supports abortion if someone who supports abortions buys something from them.

Seriously.

I kind of think BigPharma just has lots more marketing dollars for Plan B

it didn't address it well, it barely addressed it at all

yes, I know where my investments lie. if they're so religiously oriented then they would as well. there are even mutual funds specifically aimed at making sure religious individuals don't invest in companies that might offend their ridiculous beliefs that a single celled organism is a person

my position is completely valid, their position is hypocritical and wrong. they don't even understand their own religion, they don't understand how IUDs work, the idea that a fucking non-human company can have religious beliefs is patently fucking retarded

Shitloads of professions require licensing in Texas, which of course means that if you're planning on starting your own business in those fields, you'll need a license. I almost lost consciousness sifting through the nit picky bullshit in this thread. Jesus Christ. Ain't nobody got time for that.

That's very disingenuous, right up there with your reasoning that pill XYZ is only birth control if prescribed as such.

I can't say your misguided conclusion is fascinating.

There's lot's and lot's of people who misrepresent a situation to push their own beliefs. You're among them.

because a rock is being used as a paperweight doesn't make it a weapon. Except to those fanatics that are trying to ban weapons.
