Thread I'm selling sh!t

I'm sure my opinion isn't popular....I'm okay with that and not trying to offend. I just didn't know that part of his story and was surprised to read it.

Kids can be complete assholes. It was really hard for me to love a kid that I didn't like. If the kid was raised well by their parents and are somewhat well adjusted then I think its a bit easier.

Hey Lumberjack, sir. I don't even have to post & Mr. Sensitive Bowling Shoes posts shit about me. In fact, he goes away for a week, comes back and the first few posts always includes something in my reference.
I say someone needs to get back to church and have his wife bent over a pew in her underwear. You know, some good ol repentance.

I would definitely look at his wife bent over a church pew in her underwear.

Adoptive parents do it all the time.
Bleh, reminds me of a story that still irks me.

A friend of ours is getting married to a chick that can't have children so they agree to do a surrogate which is like $20k. I asked a curious question - why not adopt and her response was, "I don't want to raise someone elses kid" with this look of disgust.

I know we aren't supposed to judge, but HOW FUCKING SELFISH can a person be?

Why not?

Selfish much?

As someone who doesn't want to have kids, why is it any more selfish?

Seriously I get the reasoning. Some people don't want to adopt because they aren't sure they have it in them to be with a child who isn't biologically their own. Ran into that talking with infertility groups. Personally I think it is wise to admit it before getting into a situation where a child will suffer.

So those who married and already had children by another person should just be happy they didn't meet someone like that, get married and then have the whole household get fucked over for their inadequacies. It's not a popular opinion for sure, but it isn't one people should get pissed off over if they aren't dealing with it personally.

Since you absolutely hate kids I don't know why you are judging people about them...

It's just like...

Depends on your viewpoint. I may be selfish for not wanting kids or I may be selfless for recognizing this and not putting an innocent life in my irresponsible hands.

A person doesn't want to adopt because they aren't sure they have it in them to raise a child that is not biologically theirs? That is either a cop-out or just ignorance. How can a person say they would not love a child they are responsible for? Are people really that cruel?
