V-Day

A day that's easy to remember for fabricated appreciation of their partner. How about people try to be spontanious in their appreciation or love instead of needing a cue from a corporate cash-in.
how about respecting the fact that some of us are so busy that we need a day on the calendar like months ahead of time to plan something romantic and quasi-spontaneous. i'm lucky if i see my so during the day, and now on the weekends too. and i LIVE with the guy.

I've never liked Valentines Day. It's a day the guy kisses the woman's butt and typically no matter what you do they aren't truely satisfied. I typically find it as enjoyable as metal shavings in my eyes.

Did you read my original post? It doesn't have to be that way.

Don't get me wrong, I have a hectic schedual too. I never moan though, I make time to do what I can, and if I can't, I do my best to show how much my SO means to me.

It always helps if it's something I enjoy though, but she puts up with alot from me, so it's the least I can do to be a good sport :D

Meh

Valentines < Anniversary

Theac does sweet stuff for me all the time, so Valentines isn't necessary. For example, before he leaves for work every morning he puts my coffee in a thermos and sets it by my purse so I have coffee for the day. Now that is love right dur. So Valentines isn't anything special, altho the rack of lamb in port reduction sauce theac made for me last weekend was. :fly:

Yes, but wouldn't that really be your own fault for choosing to live the life you do?

Every time I hear someone complaining about their hectic life I have to wonder what they're doing wrong.

My wife walked in the kitchen this morning to find the purse she's been wanting filled with candy and chocolate. She was very surprised. Especially that I remembered the one she liked the best.

we can't help but be hectic, it's the nature of our jobs and our personalities. i'm not saying that we choose that over being romantic and fuzzy with each other, but we enjoy ourselves and each other in many different ways. having a date on the calendar set aside for the two of us just makes things a little less complicated from time to time.
on the flip side, i don't understand people who don't make the most of their lives and live it to the fullest by trying to do as much as they can. when i hear about someone being bored, i wonder what's wrong with them.

Well, having a day out of the year already set aside to pamper your loved one doesn't seem like a bad idea to me. If you continue to do it throughout the year, great! It's just one more day to make special. No need to buy into all the commercialism, just view it as a day set aside to spend some quality time together and fuck like bunnies :D

i love a hectic life. it makes it exciting. i've REALLY learned to appreciate it being a stay-at-home mom. i feel better, i move quicker, and i feel prettier when i'm busy. i'm happy when i'm busy.

I have a hectic and stressful week with very little time to enjoy anything. I have ~5 hours of lessons each day and ontop of that part-time work. I know alot of you have done it before, but you'd realize it takes alot out of you. Hell, I'm permanently tired and haven't really been absorbing alot of information lately, so I'm going to make up this weekend hopefully, septic amount of sleeping to be done.

I have a very long-term girlfriend, who is just as stressed and tired as I am. Having said that, we spend more than enough time together. I'd never sacrafice that for anything.
