Just took that photo. Stupid cell phone flash makes me look paler than pale. My feet are doing good. Still can see the scar on my left foot. Scar on right foot is barely there. I can feel the head of the metal pin in my left foot but it isn't touching any nerves so I haven't had it taken out. After 25 years of wearing orthodics in my shoes, I've finally developed an arch in both feet. So I no longer use any orthodics. One of these days I'll buy some normal low top sneakers like everyone else has. I still prefer mid top shoes, like hiking boots, that support my ankles better.
Would you reccommend the surgery for someone? Like I said, mine aren't nearly as bad as yours were, but they hurt and ache a lot, but I've known some people who've had it done and regretted it because it ached afterwards, too much.
