German Ales?! As in Bass? LOL
What are some names? I am sure I have tried them before. I love me some beer.
I'll give you styles.
Weizen wheat beer with yeast
Dunkleweizen a dark wheat beer
Hefeweizen wheat beer with a double batch of yeast
Krystalweizen which is a wheat beer with the yeast strained out
Good German breweries
Ayinger
Weihenstephaner (the best IMHO)
Franziskaner (second best)
Julius Echter
Paulaner
Erdinger
I yet to have a good German Ale that was brewed in the USA. Yes Drool that includes Shiner.
I don't drink often, but I'm fond of Erdinger myself.
Have you ever had Leffe?
Sorry but no.
If you enjoy the others, you'll enjoy it. Especially the blonde variant.
If I can find it. I will try it out.

I'd offer to send it to you if you can find out a way to do so. Seeing as how it's unlawful to send to most states, it would be a great waste.

Next time you all have a meet, I will so go. I would love to meet some new folks and have some fun.
