The senator (dem) they appointed to take hillary's spot in NY is totally pro-gun and it barely made the news. The LA Riots and Columbine have been beat to death as political horses.

I think in the long term, that lobbies who try to get rights restricted (like the Brady people) will always lose out to more freedom, more rights, organizations like the NRA. It's hard to get and stay behind banning something except as knee jerk politics.
