unless its a family owned company, most ceos aren't born into it. Those born with a silver spoon don't run companies, they just sit on the board of directors.
Every company I have been in, it's had ceos who were borned into it.

lol! here it is again.. the good ol' UF mindset.. one ceo is good, so all ceo's must be good!
To be fair, the same could be said about the statement I made.
That has nothing to do with trickle-anything economics..
that's not how it works. not even close.

You two and a business plan couldn't find your way out of a paper bag.
Yar, I don't think any of us intended it as such.
Not at all, but everyone had this image in thier heads that ceos come and go as they please and get paid alot to do nothing and it would be an awesome job. Just like they think being president would be totally kick ass with all the power and forget about all the stress associated with it, our the consequences of every decision you make.
Same people probably think being a soldier going off to war is glorious and awesome, they have never been to a va hospital to see how alot end up. I've never heard a ww2 vet talk about how totally kick ass it was to storm the beaches of normandy.
People really need to get these misperceptions out of their head.

exactly.
Your CEO has problems just like you do, just with more commas and zeros.
I'm not sure CEOs do as much work as the common folk in their respective companies. What I can say is that if they are very successful, and have a lot of people working for them, then why would they work as much as the common folk?
chasing money or power or running away from failure.
Its more than just a job at that point, its a deep desire for accomplishment.
No one asked him to buy a house that required AiroNet level wireless capabilities because their house was that large. (and it required two AiroNet devices) (and I had to install and configure it myself - with no intention of using it for work purposes)

No one asked him to create a job for you to have beer money either.
I've decided a more appropriate response to this question would be to ask you to look at some very successful ceos and ask why they do it... Steve jobs didn't need any money and only gets paid a dollar for a salary, he has stock options and that's it, guy is dying too. Why did he go back and why does he still work?
Warren buffet has more money than god and is giving it all away, why does he still work?
The koch brothers were born extremely rich and one simply lives on his inheritance... Why are the other two complete dicks?
They're paying me a lot less than I should be making.
