The house voted 40+ times to repeal the ACA, and the senate was “smart” enough to realize that if they repealed it, it would be career suicide. The same reason none of them will openly vote for impeaching the emperor. I wonder what would happen if it was anonymous?

They voted to repeal when they knew good and well the bill would never go anywhere. When they thought there was a chance it might actually pass the Senate and get signed they ran tail tucked.

Also congratulations on impeachment.

Waited three years for a burn

I love the fact that the same lefties who considered her a hero in 2016 for resigning her position with the DNC to support and campaign for Sanders now consider her a Russian bot for not towing the company line in 2020 😂

Yeah, I'm glad I wasn’t one of those. I knew she was a reprehensible douchebag all along.

Politicians are that way, at least most of em. Look at the president’s favorite scrotum ornament, Lindsey Graham. I still remember when Trump was a kook, etc. They go wherever they feel they’ll have the most secure future.

LoL congrats on impeachment.

We have differing memories about what went on. I saw six years of the HOUSE (who I was referring to in my post) under Obama voting to ditch the ACA and the obstructionist extraordinaire McConnell not bringing it to the senate.

Perhaps that’s what you meant by turn tail, but they didn’t really “turn tail” until 2016 when they had both houses and the White House.

Believe it or not, an overwhelming majority of Trump supporters LOVE their Obamacare.

ya at least some work would get done

And more importantly, not done the damage to the US’s standing with our allies. A lot of what has happened in the past three years can’t be fixed.

Just wait until the balloon bursts again, only this time it’ll be a lot worse than 2008.

Do I really need to furnish links and YouTube videos of Trump supporters saying either “Don’t take my Obamacare” or not even realizing they are benefiting from it (not knowing it’s the ACA)?
No, I want you to post credible polling data to back up your claim the majority of Republicans / Trump supporters LOVE Obamacare. Not some hillbilly screaming in a YouTube video. Having a choice between Warren's Socialised medical plan and the turd in the punch bowl that is Obamacare even I would choose Obamacare and I'm it's biggest critic on this forum.

Yes yes, we know. You hate having actual insurance and wish you could go back to having something that was insurance in name only.
Slightly above average healthcare will be slightly more affordable now that the House and Senate are about to pass the repeal of the Cadillac insurance plan tax. Oh wait, Obama said it's not a tax...well, whatever you guys are calling it now.

That's a lot of faith in something that doesn't address the problem even slightly.

Is that how you picture people waiting in line at Trump rallies? If you say so.

Im talking about people who are Trump supporters saying that’s the only thing they don’t want him to do that he claims he wants to. The only reason(s) why he wants to undo it is because it has Obama’s name attached to it, and he’s been told he should undo it.

Yes, sky high premiums for crappy "insurance" and deductibles that amount to buying a car are great for the people.

You can blame the fact that Obama wanted bipartisan input when crafting the bill, and the republicans he got were lobbyists for the healthcare industry.

The only way he could get half the left to vote for it was to appease their donors, many of whom were the healthcare “industry”.

What they don't want is to lose the pre-existing conditions part. What they do want is affordable healthcare. There is nothing affordable about the ACA.

I’m pretty sure a lot of them didn’t have any healthcare prior to that. If you have Hulu, Sarah Silverman stayed with a family who all loved Trump, had Obamacare and didn’t even realize it, didn’t want it taken away because they had no health insurance before, etc.

The ACA allowed people who have been priced out of health insurance to get some.

It seems you don’t like “healthcare for all” aka Medicare. Ask someone on Medicare how they feel about basic coverage being a $115 a month premium, and how they’d feel if it was suddenly $800.

A big part of inflation in HC is the fact that so many “insurance” providers own the hospitals, machines, and control the costs.

The fun part is when you get different answers if you ask them if they want Obamacare or if they want ACA
