High torque isn't always a good thing. Easy to spin tires with light weight and lots of power... So sticks ate definitely a disadvantage there.
A stick is fine, I always found the clutch and tranny in my F350 (Of course it was an oversized clutch) easier to use than the one in my Subaru. Downshifting when required for hills 'n such is never an issue, keeps one involved.odd, I thought they stopped offering it like that. dmax + allison + 4x4 should be the only way to go
