My new grocery getter.

650 pounds of torque never tasted so good

We got a duramax stuck on a barely wet dirt road once. Wide, heavy, slick tires.. So get something with some teeth.

diesel??? tranny???

chikken, you didn't get an auto, gas powered truck, did you? :(

Oh it's diesel all right.

It's an automatic though :( (The Mrs. drives standard, so that's got nothing to do with it) the ONLY manual I could find within a couple hundred miles was 2WD which is absolutely useless here.

Interestingly enough, the Allison transmission is superior in terms of HP and torque ratings to the available (ha) manual tranny, plus you can lock the torque converter in most gears.

She just needs good tires.

Any trucks are extremely light in the back. I keep 200lbs of sand in the back of mine in the winter.

High torque isn't always a good thing. Easy to spin tires with light weight and lots of power... So sticks ate definitely a disadvantage there.
