Brit magazines are always expensive.

Last time I bought a copy of BIKE magazine it was $14 or so in the US, and that was a few years back...

I suppose with their entire population being 1/6th that of the US, they have to jack up magazine prices to maintain profitability

Well, there was actually a substantial amount of content.

Not like American bike magazines that are mostly ads, and then articles about the bikes/gear that are in the ads
