All you working stiffs should be happy. The weekend is upon us. Dan and I are both sick with the flu so our Friday plans have been cancelled in favor of sitting around the house moaning. I had big plans to clean the bathroom floors today, but I think I'll have to put that off. Tonight we were supposed to go to a bar in DC to hang out with a friend who is moving to Tennessee (crazy), but I don't think we should give her the flu the week before she moves. We also have all kinds of plans for the weekend. No idea how that will go.

What are you all up to this evening/weekend?
 
It's looking like I may have to come in and help work on some issues caused by our latest phone system upgrade. Bellsouth screwed some things up so we're waiting for them to finish writing some code to see if it helps. Worse case we'll have to manually upgrade the code on about 150 audiocode devices or so scattered all over downtown. Which is a huge pain in the ass.


Otherwise hanging with my son.
 
I may get stuck going to a three year olds birthday party. I'm trying to get out of it but the mom is my friend and knows I don't have a life / other plans.
 
Well I shouldn't complain since it is my birthday today and it is Friday and I got a paycheck from my 2nd job yesterday (depositing it today).

So this morning I had to drive an hour from my office to take a drug test this morning, so I can get my security badge for my 2nd job. Lots of fun that was. Annoying the closest place to take this drug test was an hour away. The other three options were 2 or 3 hrs away.

Then I headed to the mall to go to Lenscrafters to get the lenses in my main pair of glasses replaced. I somehow put three deep scratches in one of the lenses on Monday. Not quite sure how I managed that. So I mallrat the place for an hour to kill time. I go back to pick up my glasses, try them out, only to find they made the order wrong for a different pair of glasses. So now I am waiting another hour. Fortunately I have my cell phone and laptop so I have internets.

This weekend plans, just hang out with some friends and have a lan. Good stuff. Oh and a friend is going to remove a yellowjacket bees nest from the front deck. That should be fun.
 
Tonight I will be staying at one of my best friends houses in preperation for his wedding on Sunday. Tomorrow we are going for the rehearsal and then having a lunch at his uncles house with everyone from the wedding. Then the girls are going to get their hair and nails did and we are going to the bar to get drunk... I mean important wedding stuff. Sunday we are going to church in the AM, requirement from the recently "saved" groom. Then we are going to go get drunk again after church(weird right?). From there it is on to the chapel, then to the reception, then to Joannas for an after party. Monday I will help them get everything back to where it needs and get drunk...

Long weekend but no work Monday!!! woot
 
I'm at work today. SchmilK's dad is going to stop by later this afternoon and pick LuLu up, she's going to be staying with them for the next 11 days.

Tomorrow, SchmilK and I get on a plane to head to Vegas where we will be staying until Wednesday, when we will then be flying to Puerto Vallarta for my brother's wedding.

Oddly enough, I believe I'm having dinner with Sleeman on Monday... :shifty: go figure that one :fly:

Have fun at the other forum meet. I wish I could have gone to that one, but it wasn't in the plans. Someday I'll make it to one of their big events.

We said this last year but I think it might stick this year: I think this is the last one we go to. It wasn't really intended as a meet to begin with, it just kind of escalated to that point. We really just wanted to get some of the girls together and hang out for a night while I was in town. It'll be good to see old friends though... that's for sure.

I hope you guys can come out and visit us after the house is done, I think the 2nd floor will be framed today and possibly have a roof. We'll have plenty of room for guests to stay :heart:

I'm unemployed but I'm not complaining. How often do you get to go see Poison in concert for free?? Cuz I get to on Sunday. Now I just have to figure out what kinda shinanagins to get into while we're there... :shifty:
