Do you eat your corn with butter and salt and pepper? It's kinda replacing that with essence of bacon, which is salty and peppery and buttery.
There's also the issue of local corn being a few months away yet.Why wait? Just unbury the grill and fire it up.
It's better than no bacon, but I vastly prefer it greasy and chewy right from the pan, if it's sat for more than two minutes it's probably too crispy to be at peak enjoyability.heresy!
