Ontopic Hurricane Florence

Actually most of the streets flooded here today during high tide. Nothing bad but if there is any surge it could get a bit worse.

Flooding coming soon. [email protected]

So far, two whole deaths in the 3rd strongest storm to hit the US. :omy:

Amazing considering an ENTIRE MOBILE HOME PARK near Mexico city, one in which every structure inside it was damaged and everyone who lived there chose not to evacuate, and no one died.

Someone ALWAYS dies in a Florida Mobile Home Park when the wind goes over 50mph.

Bullet holes in the Mexican MHs equalize the internal vs. external pressures better. Basic science.

That is pretty f'n amazing.

So, those bullet holes will protect a mobile home from debris being flown around at 135 MPH?

That is pretty f'n amazing. Tell me more.

Duke - it was a joke, Mexico City has pretty high crime rate. They are always claiming you will have less damage in a hurricane or tornado if you open the windows to equalize the internal to external pressure. IDK about that. The house may stand but it's gonna be a fucking mess inside.

They're always funnier when you explain them.
