It uses movement and heart rate to calculate deep, light, and REM sleep. Except it probably can't really do that...Its marking movement, not actually registering REM sleep. For that its pretty good, right?

I read about that and it's not perfect because of how the watch sits on the wrist. It can't record HR data if the watch is not in contact with your skin... which happens from time to time when an arm is under a pillow pushing on the watch.Although apparently the sleep shit is suspect according to CR. I also noted this morning that I was awake at both 5am and 6am, but neither were recorded in the app.

it just thinks you're that much of a badass swole machine I guess that's a bummer, though, makes it useless :/Even when I turn it off or I don't ride the bike, their calculations show that I'm burning 3500 a day.

edit: because you can't actually track stuff, not because it thinks highly of you
Wow, a Garmin watch that actually has some good reviews.I got a new toy last week...
This has a very discrete beep that I can turn off and just have it vibrate. It's also nicely proportionate to my itty bitty wristMy Tri swimmers always have obnoxious huge Garmin watches that make rude noises all the time.
That actually looks kinda stylish in comparison...
Thanks! The functionality of this thing is every triathletes' wet dreamThat's really nice looking!
