In elementary schools our school lunches were awesome. There were only 125 kids in the school, and not everyone ate school lunch, so they were preparing for less than 100 kids, which meant, between 3 or so lunch people, everything was prepared at the school fresh every day.

I swear the grinders they sold at my high school had been made and frozen at leat 10 years earlier, then thawed on the day of sale.

Did you miss the part where the "control" group, on sugar, didn't have those problems?

edit: Although 16 people is near enough for a valid study, I'd guess...

it's the 'high levels' that gets me. 'high levels' aren't good regardless of sweetener.
