I have Pyrex today for my lunch container. They make awesome glass tubberware.

I want to replace all my plastic stuff with the pyrex ones. But i like square tupperware for better fitting in the fridge, and most their stuff is round. At least the cheap stuff

We were originally talking about cleaning out a carburetor, Domon apparently does it by boiling it in pyrex, I had no clue how one would apply heat to pyrex as I thought it might crack from direct heat, fly suggested it get microwaved.

Thus, does a conversation evolve!

Yes but you could use a pyrex container to boil the water then apply it on the carburetor. I wouldn't want to put that physically on glass for fear of damaging it (not because of the water but because of the metal)

Domon said that you want the bubbles from boiling to lift stuff off. Also that you want the metal to expand, I would think you would need constant heat for both.
