F33nX and I booked a cruise in May on the Norwegian Dawn out of Boston. Going with some friends of ours. Got a swanky room at the front of the boat with a big balcony.

Tis nice there, I stayed at the Riu Ocho Rios a few years back. You can get herbs for about $10 an ounce.
Pretty safe too, I took unlicensed cabs all the time, no problems. Just don't buy drugs on the beach, and don't go to Kingston.
One thing about Jamaica though, they are extremely homophobic (sometimes violently so), so tell fly to be careful.

No wayyyy. I want to leave the resort, but I've heard that too.. That its dangerous.
Beerad has already told Zac to buy a new less gay wardrobe.
The local bus to get me downtown was $1, the "tourist taxi" was $13. You can use US dollars also. Ocho is a tourist town, you'll be fine. Explore away, and go to Dunn's River falls.
It does go a long way to making sure SD and Beerad are the only two twaddling Fly's fartbox.
at least in my experience, the food is pretty awful to make up for all the unlimited booze.
Oh, and if you're going downtown, ask your hotel what days the cruise ships come in, because it's fucking packed on those days, what with a few thousand people getting off the boat at once.

the jerk is great, the fish is super fresh, eat local food, and it'll be fine. It's when you're eating a foreign version of american food that it sucks.
