So I got a puppy (obligatory pics)

All I know is you are purposely trying to limit its exercise which I think is fucked up. Take him to some off leash dog parks and let him decide when hes tired.

Might be little young for full on dog park. I've always had multiple dogs so socializing isnt really a problem, but at parks they might get scared and you get a dog with complexes (varies by dog of course).

Plus most adult dogs hate puppies so it wouldn't be a nice experience for her I don't think. So far all she gets in exchange for her playful behaviour is growling and annoyance from adult dogs.

Aww, we took her to the supermarket yesterday evening to get her some more dog food and on the way back someone had dropped the heads from some flowers on the floor and she picked them up and carried them home like a pretty princess. So cute.

Cesar Milan can kiss my ass, don't even get me started on that abusive asshole. Have you seen the videos of him kicking dogs around btw? Doesn't seem like the kind of guy you'd approve of.

Don't ever be a parent. Because if you slap the wrist of a kid for grabbing something they shouldn't, you're just as abusive as Cesar Milan is

Oh gosh, is she talking about the backward nudge thing Cesar does to get the dogs attention when it's misbehaving? Geeuzs.

She's not too bad being left alone in her crate which is good, my worst nightmare would be a dog who had serious separation anxiety.

You're crating it then? I couldn't bring myself to do that.

It's not so much anxiety as it is boredom. Just so long as you have no rj45 tacked to the wall you're grand

She loves her crate actually so I wouldn't knock it til you try it. Keeps her out of trouble and stops her having accidents in the house which is great, it's stressful enough having a pup without chasing her round trying to clear up shit all day long.

I don't think she gets too bored, I'll play with her for an hour before I leave and give her a toy filled with treats that she has to chew for half an hour or so to get the food from and then she'll happily pass out for hours.

Sounds good then

I toilet trained mine after a day - couldn't really believe it actually worked. Without crating I can keep an eye on things, and jump up and carry outside if he started to squat. A few times on day one was sufficient for him to be clawing at the door to get out on day 2.

smart pup.
