Only if you have a mortgage. Always claim it, if rates increase after, switch companies. Not difficult.
Rates usually only increase on car insurance when you are a suck driver. For anything else its a non issue.

I didnt say it was smart, just that's what thy did. My dad had State Farm insurance, house and car, no claims 1968-2010. No perks *head desk*
My grandfather was that way. He never made an insurance claim in his life either. He didn't believe in it. If it broke, he fixed it. If it leaked, he patched it. He never asked anyone for help. "Waste of money!"
Mine was the same. He also calls people Chinaman and colored fellow. He doesn't have a word for Mexicans since there aren't any in Vermont.

Same here in Ontario. My grandfather knew the difference between chinamen and orientals though.
Mine hated Catholics and Italians. He hated anyone who wasn't white or protestant, but he hated Catholics and Italians more than anyone. I have no idea why. He also once had an argument with his brother and refused to talk to him for 30 years. People are so f*cking stupid sometimes. I can't stand my extended family.
My immediate family is great. Immediate extended, I guess. Parents, siblings, nieces and nephews. Love 'em to death. Most of the rest of them are small town Wisconsin weirdos though. I didn't grow up with them, and I don't talk to them now. They're just odd.
ya, iknow how it is. my mom is one of 18 kids, and 90% of the like 50 cousins on that side are all kinds of weird.
There are white trash parts of my family, they outnumber the normal people cause they haven't discovered "birth control"
