I always enjoy theac's cookery threads so I thought it would be fun to challenge him to a kitchen duel!
My entry: Tonight's dinner, Apple Cider Steak Tips with Whipped Red Potatos.
We start out with some of the ingredients:
Now the potatos need a good scrubbing since we're going to leave the skins on:
And then they get cut up so they'll boil faster
I'll set those off to the side for a minute while my water comes to a boil. In the meantime, I'm going to prepare the meat. first I need to foil the broiler pan
And then in a medium sized bowl, I combine 1 pound of steak tips, some olive oil, kosher salt, fresh ground pepper and garlic powder
After it's all combined, I place the meat on the broiler pan
And into the broiler it goes
Meanwhile my water has finally come to a boil:
So then I add in the potatos, that water was a smidge on the warm side
And I made a mess Oops
