Dead Space

Yeah Im sure I played oblivion for 100+ hrs
I had about 50 or so in GTAIV last I looked

Im holding off on fable2 tho. I hated the first one so Ill wait and see what other folks think of it first.

I've played Oblivion for countless hours and interestingly enough have never actually finished the main-story.

Yeah, I kinda ignored the gate thingies after I took care of one of them.

I'm currently climbing the ladder as a gladiator in the Arena.

I'm hoping Dead Space provides the same depth.

I don't much care for the gates.

I've closed like 3 I think, with FCOM installed it takes me like 4 hours to close one and the loot just isn't worth it.

Oblivion bored me pretty quick. All of the dungeons are the same and mostly pointless, and the wilderness is populated by virtually nothing. I think the best part about that game was the display cases, and how long can a person stare at those? The explosive arrow mod helped with the entertainment level, albeit only for a bit.

That's where the mods come in, there's fixes for that.

For some reason, I liked the feel and story of Morrowind more.

But I liked the gameplay of Oblivion better.

Morrowind felt a lot more big though. I could almost see clear to the other side of Tamriel in Oblivion.

I liked the gates, but that got repetitive.

I do like the Morrowind/Oblivion concept, but it's almost 'too' open ended, thus making it hard to set objectives, and leading to boredom.

Game is freaking beautiful though. The graphics never fail to impress me.

i also preferred morrowind over oblivion. they left out a lot of the cool spells, and i ended up mostly just using the bow and arrow and using magic mostly for healing in oblivion. morrowind was also more open, like the cities were part of the whole, and traveling was so much fun just flying... or really jumping long distances.

only problem i have with the games is that gold never serves much purpose for me. i may on rare occasions buy something... but i usually just find what i want while exploring.

Bows were definitely one of the few improvements in Oblivion, the ability to have enchanted bows do what they should logically do, as well as the zoom function.

So yeah, I haven't played a non-archer yet in Oblivion :fly:

I really liked the sword+ shield combat in oblivion.
The ability to actively block and special attacks made it way better than morrowinds clickfest.
I liked the archery/thief characters best tho.

Just started chapt 7
More zero-g shenannigans
another hoard of monsters
I want to marry the line gun
I don't understand the line gun, but I haven't actually used it yet in battle. Can you manually set off the mines? I've only test fired the damn thing once.
I might pick this up - Drool PM me your gamertag
wait, you got a 360?

KOTOR was the only other RPG that I liked. Glad to here they are destroying it with an MMO.
