Japanese pwn, yet again

Subaru $5K more for their base model. Subaru also has twice the depreciation as Honda. Lose - lose in my book.

Also, the Fit slaloms as fast as w_a_w's Z06 according to Car and Driver :fly:

consumer reports looks at cars like they do dishwashers and alarm clocks :fly: while I'm sure the japanese make the more reliable and trendier cars I'm not going to put much stock into a publication that looks at them as mere appliances :p

that being said, they're still the ugliest cars on the market. somehow the germans actually know how to design good looking vehicles and the americans still run the roost on working vehicles.

the japanese pwn because we let them pwn :shifty:

So you are telling me the Golf/Rabbit looks better than a Civic? The Polo (in Europe) looks better than a Fit? The Taureg better than a CR-V? The Jetta/Passat better than an Accord? Boring != better.

I will say, however, Toyota makes the crappiest cars in 2007 I have ever seen, as do Nissan. Cheap interiors, bland exteriors. They are right up there with the Koreans is cheap anymore.

Honda has the highest company-wide crash test ratings out of any manufacturer.

I won't argue on the handling, however.
Take a look at the results... They aren't much better than Subaru, if at all. Besides, better handling will help a lot in not getting into accidents in the first place.

I'm just not a huge Honda fan. The ones I've seen don't really hold up any better than other cars, styling isn't anything special, and their handling is pretty average. I'd at least like one thing about the car to stand out instead of having it be so average.

That they do everything at least 70% better than anyone else in any department?

My boss has one of these on order and my guy is getting the 335 Coupe.

Can you explain that comment?

They will often rate cars differently although they are the same car just under a different brand, often with a Japanese bias. A good example is the Nissan Quest and a Mercury Villager. They are the same car, but the Nissan rated higher.
