wewt, smoked a pole this morning

that's what i keep telling myself. at least the gym i'm at now serves regular people. i used to go to the TCU gym where it was all beautiful university kids. made me feel out of place. Y for life y'all.
I gradumatated from TCU. Didn't use the gym much though. I just stuck with push-ups, sit-ups, and running.

There is some nice trim around there though.
 
i'm not pro by any stretch of the imagination, but i find lifting helps with weight loss.

It does, but I lost the 15 pounds just by eating better and doing cardio. I'm doing weights but my primary source of exercise has been cardio. By lifting means I'm going to go back to doing that most of the time Like I was a few years ago. In fact, its how I figure I will make it to 180 by the end of the year.

it's a really nice gym. even has a climbing wall in it. Not sure how long it's been there though, looks really new. I don't like the layout of the weight room though. It's huge and wide open with all the cardio machines on a mezzanine above overlooking it. You feel like you're on display, which makes it hard for me to relax and focus on the workout, especially with all the distracting trim.

The Y is two small rooms with corners so there are no long views, plus it's seldom busy. It's better for lower anxiety, which I have problems with anyway.
 
I lost 15 pounds since New Year's, I had a goal of losing 35. The bad news is that I have fallen off of my diet, the good news is that I haven't gained any weight back.

I should restart it tomorrow and just lose the final 20 pounds and be done with it.
 
congrats.

i havnt kept my news years resolution of working out at all... i got a pull up bar last year and never hang it up, havnt done any cardio, havnt touched my weight bench... i've been a giant failure. :(

you haven't been failing... you've been preparing for your big comeback!
 
Okay... I JUST used the yoga ball for the first time. It's more of a work out than I imagined. Every muscle is burning right now... even my loins. :wtf:
 
Yep. the ball does wonders. Its kind of funny how it didn't get really popular until pretty recently.

I just realized I got quoted. Thats cool. True what I said but still cool.
