I doubt they take medication to stay hard. I've never heard that, anyway. Typical sex scenes last anywhere from 10 to 35 minutes. Re-shoots and callbacks can be done hours after the initial filming of the scene. I don't know what kind of movie or scene is being made if a chemical is needed to maintain an erection, but a hiatus would probably be best for the overall production. A girlfriend of mine who was in the industry for years said that the only thing guys really need to worry about is being able to cum when the director needs them to. No one wants to stand around waiting for the guy while burning film and budget. The mechanics of the adult film industry are actually pretty interesting.

Also, I did it with my ex for three hours once. If I can handle it with no problems, a pro certainly can.
