FINALLY! A parent that can parent.

I shudder whenever i think about the people that lived across the street from us. The lady had 2 daughters and those little kids had some foul mouths on them. One day i heard one of them go off on one of the other little kids on the street saying how she was nothing but a little brat and other nasty things. I was in shock... untill i heard her mom yell at her one day. She was a rageing cunt and im glad they moved away.

see, this is what i don't get. why does there have to be a reason to have/not have kids? why is it that those who don't want them seem to have to validate why they don't, and they do so by tearing those who do want families down? especially on here, many of those who don't want kids think that those who do are selfish and greedy and stupid. how is that ok to do?

i want kids, but i don't think everyone should want them. i don't think there's something wrong with those who don't want them. i don't think i should have to defend my right to have a child because the ones who don't want kids find that there's something wrong with it. why not just say, i don't want kids, and let that be that? what if i were to say, "well, all those who don't want kids are stupid for not wanting them and selfish and blahblahblah..." why do that? why does either "side" have to validate what they want?
 
I don't want kids because I know I would be a bad parent, so why torture and raise a kid in that environment? don't get me wrong, I have the utmost respect for good parents that care about their kid(s), it's just too bad there aren't very many of them.

there's no book or rule or anything that says that everyone needs to have kids. i just don't get how people have to come up with a reason why they don't want kids. jesus. why don't we come up with the reasons why some like chocolate and some like vanilla? why can't people just not want something?

Well ya, but there are a LOT MORE bad parents out there having more and more kids then there are good parents having one to maybe two kids.

I use to get annoyed whenever i would hear a screaming, crying kid out in public (ala restraunts). Now it doesnt even bother me, and even starts up a debate between Tish and I as to what might be wrong with the kid and what remedies it could use. a giggle later and its back to eating/shoping. :lol:

1. I'm probably not going to be a lawyer.
2. Your rates are approved by the client (in our case we're told by our insurance carriers what we WILL charge, it's not even our choice). You can charge .25 or .1, and quite frankly entering a million .1s to keep track of your time is a horrible way to spend two hours each day.
 
all of us saying we don't want kids is probably a direct result of the average UF user's age being mid 20's - it's probably just a phase

whats so weird about not having kids? My best friend married my wifes cousin and they arnt having kids. My friend has said for a long time he didnt want kids (hes not dad material).
 
I have no interest in having kids. I practically raised my brother and sister, its my turn to have a life. I don't want to have to worry about someone elses needs all the time. I don't want to have to put a kid in front of other important people to me. I don't see the value in regards to my life. I understand other people wanting kids. But no thanks.

I don't know what it is. When I told my parents that I wasn't having kids when I was 12 they shrugged it off and thought I would get over it. Now that I'm 24 and still saying the same thing they got that look on their face like they spawned a demon.

Some of us are cut out to be breeders, others not.
