yay so are you all fixed up ?

what’s the prognosis
Not fixed at all, just drugged up, on oxygen, and 4 blood transfusions that will probably have to repeated. This isnt something that you get better from. I feel better though and sitting in the hospital isn't earning me money.

I also can't deal with not washing for over a week. Even living in my car I skipped maybe 1 shower every so often.

I'm on a boatload of meds.
My diagnosis is complicated. I had liver damage remember, I was fine for like a year on meds, I ran out of refills a few weeks ago and things went downhill fast.

I can walk and shit, just still a little wobbly after spending a week in bed. It really messes with your sense of balance and stuff.

You got the hepatitis or something?
There's treatments and stuff for that now more effective than anyone could've imagined just 10-20 years ago.

A lot of the old musicians around here got hepC, usually from shared women, shared needles, or both. One guy I know who wasn't into that stuff ended up getting it anyway from a dentist that didn't sterilize his instruments right.

Anyway don't even know if that's your problem at all but it's more common than some people realize, at least in certain circles where "sharing" certain things is common, and sometimes when it's not. Medicine has advanced greatly.

Not hepc. You just can't heal from some things after a certain point, and bad living situations (sleeping on the floor for two years, sleeping in my car, working 7 days a week, always having to be hyper alert, only eating cold food). It all adds up.

When did they decide to stop putting stationary in hotel rooms?

Looks like 2007ish... :/

When I was a kid there was always stationary in better hotels.

I need a pen.

There was a guy I used to work with named "Raju" who would always take the stationary and take his notes on it for the whole trip.

We used to call the hotel paper and pens the "Raju laptop".

Jesus Christ, GPT-4 past the bar the lcats, the mcats, scored high on all versions of the SAT, and any number of other human-rated and reviewed tests with minimal effort. We are minimal years, if not months from general hard AI. I never would have imagined we might see the singularity in our lifetimes, but the chance of that seems very high now

On top of that, they've got a quantized version of GPT3 that used to take multiple racks and terabytes of RAM less than a month ago to run running at moderate speed on a phone now

Not enough processing power, must break quantum supremecy

Turns out we might not even need quantum computers.
they arent actually good for much, as theres no algorithms for them except factoring. Might be a build it and they'll come thing where the use cases dont show up until you have the hardware though

That's what I'm thinking. It took a minute for us to figure out what to do with a giant machine that at its core can only add two numbers together.
