So he has never gotten along with me. I generally don't care. He doesn't have to like me, just treat Ma well.
Maybe 6-8 months back I realized his behavior was bad enough to drive me away, I talked to Mom and it was like a light switch being thrown.

Well, this weekend was pretty good throughout. Wife actually had a nice heart to heart with him about how glad she was that everyone was getting along, that he was getting along with the dogs (which he traditionally has not)

We get home, about 30 minutes before midnight he gets shitfaced on his back porch and makes this passive aggressive post on FB about how disrespectful it is for "our kids" to bring our pets over and have them chase their pets off (they have cats.)

Due to the sit down she had and the betrayal of trust, the wife is incandescent with rage about it. Now I have to deal with it, wife has to deal with it, mom has to deal with it, etc.
So you brought your damn pit bulls over there that went nuts trying to kill their cats then you blame them for not wanting some crazy killing machines over there trying to kill their cats?

I was thinking the same. Dude was probably being nice to the dogs in an attempt to distract them from chasing HIS cats. He may have really wanted things to go smoothly. Honestly, I've put my own dogs in their crates at times when we had a g2g just so non-dog people wouldn't have to deal with them. And vice versa. Some people are dicks to others' pets.

Dear SD:
We were hurt and angry when we first saw your FB post. I guess we didn't consider how you would feel if our pets, which were uninvited, made your pets uncomfortable in their own home. We had a great evening otherwise and will try to consider this in the future.

Friend of mine has 4 dogs of various sizes. All older now. Last time I was there it was like being covered in puppies, only these puppies sat still and farted on you.

Our dogs are family members, if people don't want to deal with them they just don't come over.
Exceptions are made for folks who aren't regular guests, and we don't figure it's ok for them to go terrorizing other people pets at their house either.

This reminds me. My sister was over for lunch and my American Eskimo dog jumped up on a kitchen chair sitting across from her.
She said, you let your dog sit at the table?
I was like, yeah, he's got good manners.
I jokingly put a napkin in front of him and he really put his chin down on it for a few seconds before sitting back up as if he understood the conversation.
You guys gave me a happy flashback.

Got 2 fish sandwiches for lunch today. Living like a king over here.

My mother in law has been living off those lately. It's gotten to the point where she expects someone to get them on a daily basis. Those or a steak sandwich.
She looks at ya like your nuts if you make her a nice homemade meal.
She's all about McDonalds or the sandwich shop around the corner.

One time I got drunk and went through the Wendy's drive thru. They had stopped with the fish sandwich and I look at my wife while the lady was at the window and said "What the fuck is wrong with them!? Don't they know I love the fish sandwich?!

The fish in these came from home but I don't really know where the rest came from.
The wife worked a shift at one of the vaccine sites yesterday and their provided "lunch" was some bullshit vegetarian sandwiches, so she just brought them home and I fried up some tilapia to stick in there and finish the job, then brought them with me today.
Don't know who provided the unfinished sandwiches, all I can tell is it's not subway, thundercloud, or schlotzky's. Might be jimmie johns or something, the bread is good though.

Stories that start with "one time I got drunk and..." are always the best.

Uhh, did your dogs chase their cats at their house?
Nope, remember, we have two cats of our own. Two of their cats are used to dogs, they just hide cause they aren't around them much and don't like them cause cats. They're still inside, they just stay in the master bedroom.
One of their cats is an inside/outside cat, mostly outside, and is just skittish. He runs away when the mailman comes past. He runs away when my sister comes over and visits. He runs away when the neighbor starts their car.

I don't have pit bulls. As soon as the car pulled up the cat ran across the road into the woods where he likes to hang out.
The dogs are used to cats, they don't bother them.

Well I owe you an apology then as I read the original story wrong.

The point here is if he has a problem he can fucking talk to us to our face. He can also say, before we come over, I don't feel comfortable with the dogs being here.
I have pictures of Luna as a puppy at their house. She's literally been coming over since before they had that cat and there have been no issues except for him being a dick to the dogs as a way to be a dick to me.

The bag of chips is some brand called Miss Vickie's. Never heard of it but it's good, and they dedicate a pretty sizable portion of the labeling to promote donating to habitat for humanity so that's cool.
