I’ve been watching the shit out of Longmire lately. It ain’t half bad! I had cable when it started airing and never gave it a thought, being on A&E and all.

Catching up on Hell on Wheels also. Fun fact: The locomotive(s) were constructed out of styrofoam and plywood, used very little steel, and had to be pulled or pushed by a car that was removed digitally later. The smoke and steam was dry ice.

God damn it.

Goddamned Housewives Tale.

I know it’s extreme thinking, but every episode gets frickin darker and makes me worry about the future, considering the current political climate, judiciary appointments, and overall attitude of the fucking planet.

It was nice to see the Waterfords go at it last week though. They frickin hate each other LOL

One got killed and stuffed in the trunk of a car.

I liked the original L&O but couldn’t get into SVU at all. They seem a little too ready to accuse and charge everyone and anyone.

Yes, when I typed that I was a little shaken. That show brings me down, then reality pushed me the rest of the way.
 
I'm not watching this regularly, just kind of popping my head up to see a scene or two as Ladybutt goes through it.

Why are the people on The Handmaid's Tale so f'ing dumb?

Just watched those dumbasses get killed for adultery. They got thrown into a pool of water with about a dozen pounds of weight attached to them.
Why didn't they pick up the weight, walk to the other end where it was shallow enough to swim to the top?

Yeah, they likely would have been killed, but it would have been by gunshot, not by drowning. A marked improvement. Also it would have been a big ole "fuck you" to those idiots up top.

I won’t bother to rewatch that episode but if my memory is somewhat accurate, they were fully clothed and bound with hand and ankle cuffs, and chained to the weight.

That, and I think they accepted death as opposed to not being able to be with whoever they chose to be with, and the rest of the general nuttiness. If they were able to walk out of the pool, they’d get shot immediately anyway.

When I was in between surgeries once, my doctor suggested I join an arthritis swimming class so I found one. This was when I was about 45 or so.

I was the youngest person there. The “class” went smooth, lots of screwing around with noodles and walking back and forth. At the time I was in fairly decent shape, because I was getting laid a lot, and it hadn’t been that long since I got hurt.

When class was over and we were heading towards the ladder, everyone said “be careful new guy” and the geezer next to me said “You’re going to feel like you weigh 10 times what you did” and man! They were right.

Then I went to the locker room and was scarred for life seeing all those bird nests walking around. Ugh
