Wasn't meant to be racist. Some of the people from India I've worked with have had very long names that contained lots of vowels and consonants. it was meant as a play on that very thing.

It also wasn't an attempt to guess his real name as there's no way I'd be able to do that from just 'Adi'.

Mostly from south india baba, the sax player in our band is called ID, we cant say his name man.

He's not Hindu.
His culture doesn't even completely consider themselves Indian.

His name is Adidas.
