the odyssey turn radius is stupid tight, tighter than any car ive driven before. So could be, but not sure. That would cause an equal problem on turning the other way though. Im wondering if theres some unequal "item" there that the boot can easily tear on if you hit a pothole hard or something

the right turn would mean you had a greater flex on the passenger boot. the left turn would have less of a flex on the drivers side boot. :confused:

The CV joints are probably unequal in length, and the short one sees more angle deflection, so more boot flex.

that is... very correct.

this is the short joint, by far. Its like a foot and a half shorter than the passenger side.

The passenger side CV on the front of my M35 is about 6" shorter (and the front differential is on that side), but the inner joint on the driver side has a very long snout that goes through a tube in the oil pan to the differential on the other side.
