I'm ok, he and I never really had time to get close (and he was, well, kinda crotchety and hard to get close to)
Ladybutt is ok-ish. I don't think she knows how to react yet. She seems to be happy he isn't suffering anymore, and says that this is easier to handle than when he was mentally sharp but unable to do anything. We'll see if that changes.

Yeah, I think so. She was kinda blind sided this morning and actually went to work. I think its catching up to her though as she said she is gonna not go visit her second kid today.

Apparently this is the first death of someone close to her she has gone through. Hell, my first memory is a fuzzy thing of my grandmother's house after her funeral. I don't really know how to help her deal with this.

shit man, thats not gonna last. Its all gonna come crashing down sooner or later. I know he was sick for a bit, but it wasnt one of those many many year things where you're kinda hoping for the end and its just relief when it comes.

Be prepared to be her rock. And remember, just cause a problem exists, doesnt mean she wants you to try to solve it.
