Halp Android devices

And this is based on what, how you feel?
Reality. It's based on reality.

Nexus devices are supported for 3 years, or 18 months past the date of last sale, and Google is the only provider that makes any sort of guarantee. HTC used to, but they kind of just let it go.

Again, you're arguing that the fragmentation in the android market is a feature, not a bug?

Is always on hotword detection even a feature of iOS? I'm honestly asking.

"Hey Siri" and you can set up Ok Google on it.

I liked my Android, but in my experience, the voice recognition is way better on my iPhone. I usually had to say and scream "Ok Google" like three times.

Yeah sorry still not feeling the love for iOS. You couldn't pay me enough to use an iPhone regularly. Much happier with my Android for a bunch of reasons. How about just saying it's good there are options for everyone and stop sounding like a kool aid drinking apple lover?

I had a very early iPhone and was a regular end-user til about 3 years ago.
The phones are fine and rugged and well designed.
What drove me away from Apple was the whole Iverse apple store genius bar bullshit.
Galaxy has most of the functionality of an iPhone.
Difference is, I don't have to anchor off an account to activate a device.

IOS is pretty shit. I've spent the last year developing an app for both IOS and Android so I've had good exposure to both. The only good thing about an iPhone is the hardware.

Having to reach to the top to go back is a UX failure.

Sure I did. Far more seamless than IFuckingTunes and my new phone is always activated before I leave the store.

just saying that anchoring your phone to a google account isn't much different from anchoring it to an apple account. it's a single sign in for both systems

Except iTunes is shit and if I want to play the apple game I have to play it their way.
No thanks.
As I said, my phone is functional to the level my wife's iPhone 6 is and I get a bigger display and I don't have to be tied into AppleRot.
It's a lifestyle choice.
Not better nor worse.

and if you want to play the google game you have to play it their way too

rooting an android phone and jailbreaking an iphone are functionally equivalent for the vast majority of users. I don't know what you're doing "your way" that conflicts with apple but not google.

it's the fact that you have such disdain for apple when your only complaint seems to be that itunes sucks. in what way does it suck that you don't like?

nothing's wrong with choosing one over the other but you seem to have a bandwagon hatred for apple

What's it to you?
