GAY Apple adds diversity to the face of texting

it's not as though those kids were isolated from society before the experiment, even young kids pick up on those values, even if they don't understand them. things like that their race is only or mostly the bad guy, the hero is white. the pretty dolls are white because white beauty standards are the norm.
hey bro, it's not society's fault that white people are better looking and the good guys

like really, thin trying to make it out as though racism is just a relic of the past is a goddamn shining example of privilege, it's him never having been in a position to experience what a person of color has so rather than believing their experiences he just thinks it's not real because it isn't for him. that's a prime example of someone using their privilege to ignore reality and some of y'all are still gonna be like "nah I don't think that's a thing"

Your claims about what you think of me and my opinion is silly. It makes you sound like you think black people are still being brought over on boats and sold into slave labor. Does racism exist? Yes. I've never said it doesn't. I've simply stated that for the most part, people don't care about this little stuff.

people don't care about this stuff
makes a thread bitching about people who care about this stuff

Next thing you know we'll have to add a transsexual person to their emoji list and a guy/girl missing an arm and a leg to represent the disabled. In order to cover everyone, you'll have to make 6 billion different emojis. If you don't you're evil for isolating someone out of the group.

thanks august, now I have white guilt for no reason

thanks for making race more of an issue by talking about it
pointing out privilege isn't about shaming or guilt, it's about recognizing that others may have more relevant experiences than you based on that

yeah but like why does wanting to be inclusive upset you when it 100% has nothing to do with you? you don't even use emoji because you had no idea what they were even talking about

Also, how do you know that white person in the emoji keyboard isn't actually a black person with Vitiligo?
Vitiligo Emoji!!! WHERE ARE THEY??? RACISM RACISM!!!

ya know,

in the grand scheme of things is this one thing a big deal? probably not. but it's one small thing they can do that's a step in a better direction.

Because there's so many other things these people could be complaining about, but this is what they chose. they spent time and money on something that literally does not matter. If you're going to bitch about racial inequality, do it with something that matters. Find a case where a white man was hired to do a job when a black man was more qualified to do so. That's a worthy fight.

all this nonsense is doing is enforcing that people are too different from eachother to be compared, or represented by some average image or ground.

That seems like the opposite message of what should be being said. That everyone is equal.

sure, everyone is equal and should be represented by white people
