When my mom got the news of her pending demise, she asked about doctor assisted suicide and the oncologist cut her off and said

“I’m not allowed to discuss that with you because I work for a Catholic organization that prohibits me from doing so...” because the INSURANCE COMPANY bought the entire healthcare organization which was started by Catholic nuns a thousand years previous.

So she had to get hooked up with a non-insurance doctor who did the evaluation and prescribed the stuff with instructions etc. and by the time she was sick enough to want to go, she was unable to do the physical part needed to do it. Bystanders aren’t allowed to mix the dose, which is a ton of work considering step one is to remove 100 pills from blister packs and crush them.

She suffered and bloated up into someone unrecognizable.

Whoever thinks THAT is humane and are against doctor assisted suicide is just nuts.
