Yeah, he makes his own projectors out of old monitors from scratch. I was sketchy at first but then we played some Counter Strike on it and the shit is badass, lol. Kinda hard to play video games cause its huge but movies are amazing on it.

Rooms gotta be REAL dark tho. inline4 used to do that, iirc.

Yeah, but if you are going to be using a projector you are not normally using it for a main TV. He uses his in a room and one wall is painted black with the middle a bright white which acts as teh screen. It is not something you would use in your living room during the day, like all projectors.

Really it all depends on the monitor you use to build it, the type of bulb and the lense you order.
