If people see the webs early enough, they can use BT (bacillus thuringiensis) spray, an organic pesticide that is genetically modified to attack only chewing insects, such as webworms.

Does it make any sense to anyone to promote a pesticide as both "organic" and "genetically modified"?

oh, i get it. the article was wrong. the insecticide is organic, and there are available genetically modified crops that contain it. the pesticide itself isn't genetically modified. still makes a funny juxtaposition.
